Set on the Baker Street of Sherlock Holmes fame, the Sherlock Holmes Hotel in London, England, is located between Regents Park and Hyde Park, and within walking distance of the West End theater district. Despite the name, the hotel is not themed; references to the great detective are subtle and include a brass bust behind the bar and a scientific jar in one of the hallways.
Occupying a traditional Victorian townhouse with a narrow façade, the Sherlock Holmes Hotel is a short walk from the Baker Street tube station and the famous Madame Tussaud's Wax Museum. Visitors are greeted by the smell of fresh coffee, an open fire and large brown- leather armchairs at the Sherlock Holmes Hotel. Original wooden floorboards are partially exposed in the wide hallways. Sherlock's Grill, with its intimate alcoves and soft chairs, offers organic British cuisine cooked in a wood-fired oven.
