Moscow Sights, Sounds and Hotels
Gorky Park is the most well-known of the city’s parks and gardens due to a best-selling cold war novel by Martin Cruz Smith and a blockbuster movie of a loner detective who becomes obsessed with solving the mystery of a triple murder in modern-day Moscow. The park was formed in 1928, covering 275 acres and extending almost 3km along the river, and is an amalgamation of ornamental garden, funfair, including a giant Ferris wheel where you can see great views of the city, entertainment zone, open air theatre, sports grounds, rock club and a number of cafes. In summer, the park is full of people enjoying the many attractions, including a boating pond, and boats leave from the pier on river excursions. In winter the ponds freeze over and the park is transformed into a huge ice-skating rink.
It is well known that Moscow is not the most beautiful city in the world, but that all depends on how you see it. Moscow's Gorky Park is the prefect place to go and unwind and appreciate some the beauty that the city has to offer. The fantastic Moscow hotels are also a beauty and you are guaranteed 100% satisfaction.
