Brussels Sights, Sounds and Hotels

Consequent to the site of the stylishly poised Royal Square being excavated, you can see the underground digs and the main hall, Aula Magna, once utilised for the meetings and the merriment of the Council of Brabant, and a part of the 11th century castle which was contructed for the Duke of Brabant, and stood in earlier times in this location. Holy Roman Emperor, Charles V, was crowned in the castle in 1519. In the centre of Royal Square is a statue of Godfry of Bouillon, King of Jerusalem and leader of the first crusade in 1096. The buildings in the corner are two ardently fascinating museums: the Museum of Ancient Art, and the Museum of Modern Art.

Brussels Royal Square, provides a glimpse of lifestyles of old and is a great way to spend an afternoon whilst exploring the dynamic city of Brussels. Compare the facilities with those of the awesome Brussels hotels and you'll be chuffed that you live in these times!
